Unfortunately, this freezer has been nothing but trouble. It initially stopped working (would not keep temp and had frozen sheets of ice inside the back and floor) just after a year from purchase. When I called I was told we were just outside of the warranty - which was 2 years according to the product description online. When I communicated the freezer was only a year old, I was told the warranty was only 1 year at the time of purchase but had been changed to 2 years after we purchased apparently. So we have had this freezer repaired 4 times in the last 6 months alone and it still isn't working. We have lost so much product and time just moving product in/out and are still left without a working freezer and repair costs that have now exceeded the purchase price. Small businesses cannot afford losses like this. It's unfortunate as we've never had any issues with any of our other Avantco purchases and customer service has always been outstanding for any other issues we've encountered; but this may be one to steer clear of.

We have bought two of these freezers. One is now a little over a year old. The other is less than a year old. Both frost up on the condenser inside and shortly after the food is no longer frozen. They come with no manual and the manual online refers to a different controller than actually is on the unit, so there is NO guide. We have called for help and they tell us to call warranty claim. They should defrost automatically and aren't, but even worse when we try to manually put them into defrost they won't. They display DFB instead of DEF which per online searches reflects an out of parameter area meaning it can't go into defrost but still there is no guide as to why that could be. We constantly have to remove all items and let the freezer dethaw, then it works for a week before freezing up again. These units are in pristine condition with clean coils and are not overfill. Don't buy them trusting the warranty either. They won't help over the phone and say they can only send someone out. A week ago we called and nobody has scheduled a call nor shown up. Two freezers with extended warranties and we just can't use or trust them. Now I'm thinking about whether I need to order two replacements from a more respectable brand. Webstaurant, please address that the manual doesn't match the unit, and fix your avantco service model. Everyone else, please don't buy this unit!

I am very disappointed with Webstaurant for its warranty service or in this case, the lack thereof. We have had this AVANTCO unit in operation for 10 weeks and it has been broken down now for the past 10 days. I submitted for service repair immediately and have been run around WAITING not only for a response but for NO SERVICE CALL to repair. Bottom line, a freezer that breaks down in 10 weeks and NO SERVICE REPAIR for going on 10 days as of this writing. POOR POOR performance by all released to this matter. It is inexcusable for an operation to lose a MAJOR component for over 10 days!!!!

Only work fine for 2 years and stop defrost

Have this for 1 year. Got a error message and ended up losing all my product due to not freezing. Already submitted a claim but I shouldve stayed away buying this thing.

didnt last a year, this is not worth it

Quit working after just 1 year almost to the day.

Purchased on 5/4/22. Has already stop working .

Lasted for 2 years before the main board decided to burn out. The cost of repairs was more than the freezer, Thankfully we bought insurance for this junk and got it hauled away. DO NOT GET THIS FREEZER, its cheap but the repairs cost will make you think otherwise. Go get a TRUE freezer, those things are build well.

We truly hate leaving a poor review but after 3 days of working this equipment started shorting out. We’ve been in the “warranty” phase of it and not one repair has been done after 9 days. I was told warranty can take up to 3 weeks. Tough to hear as a small business depending on new equipment purchased.
