Product Features
Display, merchandise, and serve a delicious variety of ice cream flavors with this Avantco ADC-12F-HC flat glass ice cream dipping cabinet! Displaying up to (12) 3 gallon ice cream tubs at a time, the unit is perfect for ice cream shops, candy stores, dessert bars, and cafeterias. The frozen storage space beneath the display even provides a convenient place for holding up to 10 back-up tubs, making it a space-efficient unit for businesses with limited space.
Outfitted with a flat-front sneeze guard, the dipping cabinet is perfect for front-of-house applications. Not only does the sneeze guard prevent customers from contaminating the product, but it ensures crystal-clear visibility for merchandising purposes. By showcasing bright, fruity or dark, chocolatey flavors behind the glass, you tempt customers into trying a bite - or a few! A sliding cover also protects the ice cream while helping to retain cold air around the product for a safe holding environment. Because it slides open and closed, it's fast and easy to use, too, which is perfect for those busy rush hours or constant streams of customers in the summer months! The cover also comes equipped with a lid lock to ensure that your ice cream remains protected and temperature controlled.
Featuring a manual control to maintain temperatures from -15 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit, this cabinet ensures that ice cream is held in a proper environment to preserve its quality and consistency. To help achieve this, the robust, bottom-mounted compressor Uses R-290 refrigerant. This specialized refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3. Plus, for maximum structural rigidity and temperature retention, the cabinet is foamed-in place using polyurethane insulation.
This unit is white painted steel and built with rounded corners for an attractive, sleek appearance. It requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.

I purchased the Avantco ADC-12-HC for my ice cream shop, hoping for reliable performance, but my experience has been mixed after several months of use. While the unit has some strengths, several issues have made it less than ideal for our needs. The seals on the sliding glass doors are a significant weak point. They wear out quickly and feel very fragile, especially during routine cleaning and maintenance. I’ve already noticed tears forming in the seals, which is concerning for maintaining proper temperature and hygiene. Replacing them feels like it will be a recurring hassle. Storage is another major drawback. We use standard 3-gallon tubs, but accessing the storage compartment is extremely awkward. You have to remove at least four tubs to get to the stored ones, which slows down service and is frustrating during busy hours. The design doesn’t seem optimized for practical use in a high-volume setting. Cooling performance is inconsistent as well. The ice cream at the top of the tubs is often softer, while the bottom is rock hard, making scooping uneven and affecting presentation. This suggests poor air circulation or temperature distribution inside the cabinet, which is a critical flaw for an ice cream dipping unit. On the positive side, I’m thankful I opted for the extended warranty. It’s already come in handy once for a repair, and I suspect I’ll need to use it again soon due to the seal and cooling issues. Without the warranty, maintenance costs would be a bigger concern. Overall, the Avantco ADC-12-HC gets the job done but comes with significant drawbacks in seal durability, storage design, and cooling consistency. I’d recommend potential buyers weigh these issues carefully and consider other models if storage access and uniform cooling are priorities. The warranty is a lifesaver, but I wish the unit itself was more reliable. Rating: 2.5/5

Sliding doors are very poorly made. Seams are in the corners of the doors and within 3 months the seams are already coming apart and the seals are coming out. Very disappointed in the door design and very disappointed with this purchase!

I’ll start with the positive- the dipping cabinet is sharp, keeps the ice cream cold, but that’s where the positive ends on this awkward, stupid design. This cabinet is designed with three trays, each holds four tubs of ice cream suspended above the bottom of the freezer with room for tubs below. So when one of your 12 tubs up top is emptied, and it’s time to bring one up from the bottom- Your first option is to grab the tray by the rim, and lift all the three remaining tubs within it out of the freezer. The other option is to remove all the tubs from the tray, so the tray is light and easy to lift. The trays when full are heavy and awkward and when empty they’re still awkward. Not only do they have to be removed at a certain/specific angle, tilting them just right between the top glass and the edge of the freezer. If you don’t do this just exact angle then you will scratch the glass. This makes it difficult to store anything in the bottom compartment of the freezer, since it requires emptying almost the entire cabinet to just change out tubs of ice cream. Then let’s talk about if you need to get to the ice cream in middle, up top. You have to empty the tubs, remove the pan. Then slide the middle tub over and get your ice cream tub out. You can’t access the middle ice cream tubs unless you move it completely over. That’s only done by emptying one side or the other. Other issues with the design choices as well….The metal caps that hold the glass panes together have screws that are too long for the washer and nut they attach to, so they either hold loosely, or the screw dents the metal cap, pushing the flat into a conical point and causing the metal cover to sit crooked. It makes for the glass not to sit correctly. The rubber tube that sits between two pieces of glass barely stays in place and leaves a gap. So as a small business I am now just out of the money, because there is no option to send this large equipment back and we will have to replace due to the inability to get to the middle ice cream. I order everything from this site, including multiple stand up commercial glass freezers, but I do wish I had gone with another option this time. It’s so disappointing , the thing looks really good from the customers side but it’s not practical or useful for an ice cream store and now it’s a very large loss of money on this equipment.

Been using this for a year and no issues at all. Only wish they would include some sort of option for covering the glass, but no big deal.

Disfruta Tu LokoDONT THINK ABOUT IT, its worth every dollar, most of the dipping cabinets are expensive and this one is well made and affordable, I'm very happy with the product.

The SawbuckThe thing looks sharp, and keeps the ice cream cold, but that’s where my compliments on this profoundly stupid design end. This fridge is designed with three trays, each of which holds four tubs of ice cream suspended above the bottom of the freezer with room for tubs below. Okay, so one of your 12 tubs up top is emptied, and it’s time to cycle in a fresh one for below. Your first option is to grab the tray by the tiny little rim, and lift all the three remaining tubs within it out of the freezer. Your second option is to remove all the tubs from the tray, so the tray is light and easy to lift. The trays when full are heavy and awkward, and when empty they’re still awkward. They have to be removed at a certain and specific angle, tilting them just right between the top glass and the front lip of the freezer. This makes it a real pain to store anything in the bottom compartment of the freezer, since it’s such an ordeal to pull anything out. There are a couple other odd design choices as well. The metal caps that hold the glass panes together have screws that are too long for the washer and nut they attach to, so they either hold loosely, or the screw dents the metal cap, pushing the flat into a conical point and causing the metal cover to sit crooked. The rubber tube that sits between two pieces of glass barely stays in place, and has already fallen off on my cooler. I’m doubtful I’ll he switching to another cooler anytime soon, since I built my counter brand new to fit the dimensions of this one, but I do wish I had gone with another option. Such a shame, because the thing looks really good from the customers side.
