Make sure you've always got plenty of fresh ice on hand with the Avantco Ice KMC-H-530-LA 30" air cooled modular half cube ice machine with bin! Capable of producing up to 500 lb. of full cube ice per day, you'll always have plenty of ice to serve on demand at your restaurant, bar, or cafe. An included ice bin holds up to an impressive 536 lb. of ice, making it ideal for busy establishments that can not afford long periods of down-time while ice is being made. The ice bin features a durable roto plastic exterior with a polyethylene interior. Also included is an ice scoop, a scoop holder ledge just inside the door where the ice scoop leans, and a hook to hang it on for easy storage.

For ease of maintenance, a built-in diagnostic system will identify problems that your ice machine may be having and will display the issue on the digital controller so it can be repaired accordingly. This easy-to-use controller can also be used to monitor the current stage of ice production that your machine is in. It allows you to adjust the bridge thickness up or down to maximize your harvest into individual cubes of ice, rather than full sheets. It also initiates the cleaning cycle and displays what stage of the cycle you're in. Plus, the ice bin has a 3/4 FTP drain fitting.

The ice machine is constructed of durable roto plastic finish with a polyethylene interior to last in the busiest of commercial environments. A nickel plated evaporator and removable air filter make for quick and simple cleaning and maintenance. With (4) 6" adjustable legs, you can level your machine on uneven surfaces and have plenty of room to clean under it. This ice machine also comes with pre-drilled holes on the back of the unit to mount your OceanLoch+ water filter to the machine to ensure you are serving the cleanest and freshest ice possible. Designed for side-breathing and rear exhaust, you can avoid hot air being blown outward into your kitchen or service area. This unit requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.

So, I have now owned this machine for about three years and have never had a problem. It is a bit more of an effort to clean it than my old undercounter unit was, but given that more of the parts are easy to get to, I think I give it a better cleaning than I could my old one. The one issue is that I wanted to get it professionally cleaned and was quoted a price approaching $500 because the person had never worked on one of these machines before. I found another tech who handled it for a reasonable price. As for longevity, my undercounter scotsman failed after five years and a scotsman version of this one would have cost more than twice the price. Even if I only get four years out of it, I can just buy another one and it will stil be cheaper than buying one Scotsman. I've purchased a lot of Avantco products ove the years and only had one sandwich table blow its compressor after three years. I was a bit annoyed, but in balance, the money I have saved on Avantco products over the years more than makes up for having to replace that one unit.

Worked only for few months. Raised tickets with webstaurantstore few times with customer care team without any help back. They always say you have an open ticket and someone will get back to you either via email or phone. Not recommended this.

We bought this machine 2 years ago and it has stopped working; Error 03. After harvest, it drops the ice from the evaporator and stays on harvest mode. In order to get some ice from it, we have to turn it off after every harvest and back on again until we can figure our what to do with this machine. Poor workmanship.

Have had several major problems with this unit. No longer under warranty and I can not get anyone to work on this unit. Constantly freezing up, stops producing and then shuts down. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT.

This ice maker is producing half the amount advertised. WTH is going on? Also,the storage bin handles less than 300 lbs and not the advertised 526 lbs. This is outrageous and outright false advertising. Can someone get back to me?

Worked for about 3 weeks then stopped producing ice. This is the second and last machine we will buy from webstraunt nobody will come out and fix it. They dont stand by there warranty or return it. I implore you not to buy from them.

Avantco makes great refrigeration equipment. I switched from rental to owning my very own ice machine at a reasonable price. They work great and i have yet to experience any problems with it. I own several of these machines and they are just great.
