Optimize your back-of-house operations with this Avantco SS-PT-48-HC 46 3/4" 2 door stainless steel refrigerated sandwich prep table, and better keep up with customer demands. Whether used in a university, sub shop, or hospital, the unit is sure to help streamline the sandwich prep process with its convenient features and capacity. Its top, for instance, accommodates up to (12) 1/6 size food pans up to 6" deep (sold separately). These are great for holding common sandwich or salad toppings, from eggs and cheese to green pepper or ham. Plus, a lift-up lid encloses the top to maintain proper, food safe temperatures. A full-length cutting board, which is 11 1/2" deep, is mounted to the table surface, providing a place for slicing ingredients and assembling orders.

Beneath the workspace is additional storage space. Because it's refrigerated, the space is great for storing back-up ingredients, such as deli meat and cheese, as well as less common toppings. Two epoxy-coated shelves are included and can each accommodate up to 90 lb. of weight, helping to organize your assorted supplies. Divider bars are also included for ultimate convenience.

High quality performance is made possible by the unit's 1/4 hp refrigeration system, which maintains temperatures between 33 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It does this by circulating R290 refrigerant. This specialized refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3.

The construction of this unit is designed with commercial use in mind. It features a 430 type stainless steel exterior and 304 type stainless steel interior, which are fortified with foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. The insulation also helps to promote proper temperature retention. For operation, the prep table requires a 115V electrical connection.

Brand new unit and have had to have it serviced three times already in the first year, and now the compressor has gone out. We lost more product value than the cost of this unit. Additionally, the door hinge just literally snaped off while opening the door. The warranty company is also difficult to work with and service times very 3-6 weeks with several return visits needed.

So far so good, a few things that I wanted to point out: 1. there are metal safety clips inside, then you open the top and they can scratch you easily, be careful. 2. I wish I could fit 3 of the 1/9 Size Clear Polycarbonate Food Pans in one column, unfortunately they don't fit by a bit. No other complains so far

It is a great and highly efficient product so far. The temperature is on point there is no fluctuations. If anything changes in the future I will update my review but for now it is definitely worth to buy. Plus you can get an extended warranty which is not expensive.

We received our fridge soon after ordering it. The only thing was it came dented on the top side where the top comes open. I have yet to try it since i am still waiting on my trailer.

We love how this prep refrigerator looks so sleek despite that it is one of the more affordable options! We have owned it for 6 months and it has been used exactly as we need it to. in our cafe, we offer a limited made to order breakfast and lunch menu and this sandwich prep station has more than enough room for everything we need. We've even been using it as a back-up fridge for our beverages. The feature we love the most about it is the continuous stainless steel panel below that 1/6 pans. Wherever there is leakage or drips from our containers, it protects the rest of the fridge below from getting messy. It's so easy to remove all of the 1/6 pans and wipe everything down in a matter of minutes. The only flaw is that the sides of the prep flip lid condensate on the outside, so I think that means there could be improvement to the way it seals when closed.

We love it. Bought in March 2019, now September still going strong. It is the perfect size to keep all your food prep items. Was concerned when I ordered because the price was so cheap compared to other brands. Would definitely order again. Great product.

Using this unit in consistent ambient temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit will void the warranty. Any exposure to ambient temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit or above will also void the warranty.

To promote proper air flow through your Avantco unit, please ensure that the wire ledges on the shelves are positioned toward the back of the unit. These ledges help keep enough space between your product and the back wall so that cold air can adequately circulate through the cabinet. Incorrectly installing the shelf ledges can restrict airflow, causing the temperature in the bottom of your unit to rise.

Many manufacturers offer their refrigeration equipment in several different height options to best meet your needs. Here's a breakdown of how we classify these different heights:

Counter Height: Work surface is more than 34" high; standard-height unit.

ADA Height: Work surface height is 34" or less; complies with ADA regulations.

Low Profile: Work surface height is less than 32"; designed to fit under most ADA-height counters.

If the unit you are purchasing does not have a flat top, such as a worktop or sandwich/salad prep table, it may affect whether or not it will align with certain countertops. To ensure that the product will meet your needs, please reference the product's literature and specifications.

The types of pans and pan sizes that should be used in your Avantco refrigerated prep table depend on the table model and size. It’s important to refer to your equipment's Specification Sheet and/or Owner's Manual to see what pan sizes and configurations are recommended. Certain accessories may be needed in order to use pans of a different size than what is recommended.

It is also important to note that mixing and matching pans from different manufacturers may result in the pans not fitting properly. To ensure your pans will fit, refer to the items listed in the product’s "Works With" section. The pan sizes and configurations that each refrigerated prep table accommodates may vary. The items included in the “Works With” section may be used in your model, though configurations combining two or more different pan sizes may not be possible or may require adjustments to be made. The exceptions below apply to the model type indicated:

Mega Top Models – Can fit up to (3) 1/3 size pans from front to back without the use of a middle divider; 1/3 and 1/6 size pans cannot be combined in the same section

Standard Top Models – To use 1/3 size pans, included divider bars must be removed, or narrower divider bars must be used

Pizza Prep Models – While 1/3 size pans are the standard to use in pizza prep models, 1/6 size pans may be used when the orientation is changed
