88 3/4" 16 Tub Stainless Steel Deluxe Ice Cream Dipping Cabinet

Pay close attention when purchasing this product if you intend to use it as a dipping cabinet as WebstaurantStore advertises it as. It’s actually an ice cream freezer and keeps the ice cream at a temp soo hard it cannot be dipped. WebstaurantStore refuses to acknowledge their listing mistake and now we have a huge paperweight that we cannot use for its intended purpose. We have spend thousands and thousands of dollars on WebstaurantStore and have never been more dissatisfied with the level of customer service we have received in regards to this issue.

This dipping cabinet does work very well but does have some issues. The specs for it state that its for ice cream but not gelato. The biggest problem I have is you can't raise the temperature above 0 degrees and you can't not scoop ice cream at zero. The doors do not seal and this causes ice to build up around the rim. I do like the ability to raise the tubs but even at the highest point you get soft ice cream at the top but rock hard at about halfway down. The ice cream tubs sit on a rack, trying to fit them into the rack isn't great. I have to bend the bottom rim to fit them in. The top covers that go on the tubs have to use a supplied wedge but if ice builds up it becomes a frozen block. There is rubbers blocks that hold the plastic tops on the tubs . Trying to fit them takes some work. I've had great service out of other Avantco products, this one falls really short.

Not a bad freezer for the price but we have had many issues of inconsistent temperature control as Brian mentioned in his review. The tops of the ice cream are definitely too soft compared to the bottom. If you scoop ice cream on to a cone it wants to slide right off. When you turn the freezer down to make the top harder then the bottom is so hard you can't scoop it. It's been a constant battle over the last year and a half. If I hadn't needed one so bad I would have waited to save up a bit more to purchase a more expensive, better reviewed freezer.

Worst purchase I made. Do not go cheap on dipping cabinet, spend the extra money on quality ones. One came broken and they have been trying to fix it for 3 weeks now and I have been without this whole time. Very inconsistent temperature control. top of the tubs are melting while the bottoms are rock hard.

I highly recommend it, we purchase everything we use from Webrestaurant. This ice cream freezer has everything we need to show our customers our product.
