Product Features

Display, merchandise, and serve a delicious variety of gelato flavors with this Avantco ADC-GEL-13F flat glass gelato dipping cabinet! Featuring a racking system designed to fit the included (13) 5 liter pans, this unit is perfect for ice cream shops, candy stores, dessert bars, and cafeterias. It's capable of serving ice cream, gelato, sorbet, and acai. The frozen storage space beneath the display even provides a convenient place for holding back-up pans, making it a space-efficient unit for businesses with limited space.

Outfitted with a flat-front sneeze guard, the dipping cabinet is perfect for front-of-house applications. Not only does the sneeze guard prevent customers from contaminating the product, but it ensures crystal-clear visibility for merchandising purposes. By showcasing bright, fruity, or dark chocolatey flavors behind the glass, you tempt customers into trying a bite - or a few!

A sliding cover also protects your product while helping to retain cold air around the product for a safe holding environment. Because it slides open and closed, it's fast and easy to use, too, which is perfect for those busy rush hours or constant streams of customers in the summer months! The cover also comes equipped with a lid lock to ensure that your ice cream remains protected and temperature controlled. This dipping cabinet also features a white, curved front design with a painted steel construction. Plus, it has LED lighting to help light and show off your products!

Featuring a digital controller to maintain temperatures from -15 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit, this cabinet ensures that your gelato is held in a proper environment to preserve its quality and consistency. To help achieve this, the robust, bottom-mounted compressor uses R-290 refrigerant. This specialized refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3, making it a regulation compliant choice for your business. Plus, for maximum structural rigidity and temperature retention, the cabinet is foamed-in place using cyclopentane insulation. It requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.

I'm aligned with what the other comments are saying. There's a 3" gap between the set trays that hold the gelato pans that causes major issues when scooping. This gap also allows the escape of air so you aren't able to maintain a consistent temperature if you have to take the glass lids off in a rush, it starts to drastically dip. Assembling the thing is also finicky as a lot of the screws/parts aren't properly cut so there's a bit of odd "wiggling" in the construction. There's a rubber barrier between the top glass pane and the front that sometimes scrunches up and starts to slip off because of the wiggle. Another pain point is the construction of the dipping cabinet. The pans are flat instead of angled up towards you which makes for some awkward scoops. The lighting is sub par on the sides so the middle gets little visibility. It also doesn't help that the pans themselves aren't all facing the same way. On top of my issues the temperature meter on the side spontaneously fluctuates after about a month of using it during service. It will jump randomly to 23 then back down to 5 then up to 10 then down to 0 all within a minute. I keep an aftermarket temperature gauge that records data on the inside and often in the middle of the night (when we're closed) it will spike up with product in it which causes a film of frost on the top when I arrive in the morning.

If you push all the pan holders to one side or the other there's a big gap on the side. Like 3 inches. This causes your pans and the holder they're in to slide 3 inches one way or the other, banging into the wall of the cabinet or the other pan holders, when you're trying to scoop something out. It's incredibly aggravating on top of looking unprofessional as you try to dip out ice cream or whatever you have in there and it's sliding back and forth banging against the sides. Also, the plastic bracket that fixes the glass to the top doesn't fit to the base correctly and the metal L-brackets that hold the glass together don't fit correctly because the plastic washers are too thin and the entire bracket will fall out over time. The glass door that slides back and forth on top has nothing to cushion it from the smacking the edge when you open it so the plastic corner that holds the seal in the door has cracked, which lets the seal worm it's way out of the groove it sits in over the course of the day, requiring you to take the door off and push the seal back into place. It's also really difficult to load/unload pans or dip something out of the middle section where the doors don't open. Sometimes I have to take a whole section out to slide the middle one where I can take pans out or put them in. There's a small bracket under the middle door that further limits the space you have in the middle. I was recommended this by the vendor we use for ice cream but I wouldn't buy it again.

This cabinet has a 3" gap on the top. The manufacturer said this is normal. I checked every video and picture on their flyers and none shows this gap. The inside walls always icing so you have to defrost maybe every 3 days. Webstaurant doesn't want to admit there is a problem so for them "suck it Up". so be aware before you buy these units.
