Make sure you've always got plenty of fresh ice on hand with the Avantco Ice UC-H-280-A 26" air cooled undercounter half cube ice machine! Capable of producing up to 299 lb. of half cube ice per day, these larger footprint undercounters are great for meeting high production and capacity needs of busy restaurants, bars or cafes. This machine also comes with an 80 lb. bin to store a larger amount of ice once its made. For ease of maintenance, a built in diagnostic system will identify problems that your ice machine may be having and will display the issue on the digital controller so it can be repaired accordingly.

This easy-to-use controller can also be used to monitor the current stage of ice production that your machine is in. It allows you to adjust the bridge thickness up or down to maximize your harvest into individual cubes of ice, rather than full sheets. It also initiates the cleaning cycle and displays what stage of the cycle you're in.

Constructed of durable type 304 stainless steel with a polyethylene interior, this unit is built to last in the busiest commercial environments. A nickel plated evaporator and removable air filter make for quick and simple cleaning and maintenance. With 4 adjustable legs, you can level your machine on uneven surfaces and have plenty of room to clean under it. This ice machine also comes with pre-drilled holes on the back of the unit to mount your OceanLoch+ water filter to the machine to ensure you are serving the cleanest and freshest ice possible. This unit requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.

Now with 9 months of use, we have been having multiple issues with the machine. First, at least once a day the error E03 occurs and the machine stops making ice. Second, the machine suddenly started making bricks of ice which are very hard to brake and are not uniform. First months of use were perfect, machine worked well and made a lot of ice constantly with no issues at all, then after 6 months the issues started to appear.

This machine started out well but now it can barely keep up, The ice is thin and we constantly have to run to the store to get ice to fill it up. We change out the filters frequently.

This machine has never made as much ice as it says it makes. We have a moderately busy cafe and run out of ice by 10am most mornings. The bin is never more than half full. Huge waste of money. We end up buying 20lb bags of ice and 80lbs can last a day... so this thing isn't even making half of what it says. So disappointed. Feel scammed. Only reason I don't give it 1 star is that its at least producing something.

DO NOT buy this junk. this bin does not make close to 300lbs per 24 hours, struggles to keep the bin even 1/3 to the "bin full" switch. at 1 year it started having issues (right after the warranty was up) the machine wont drop ice and bricks up, tech support says this is the only time they heard of it. but both machines did it around the same time. we had them serviced every month by our techs and cleaned every month. at 1 year 6 month the lid split in two. we called about it since it was obviously a design flaw. they said yes, they updated the lid, but it isnt covered- they knew about an issue, fixed it, but wont replace it when it fails. not a great company to work with. i wish i would have bit the bullet and got a manitwoc or hoshizaki from the get go- we keep having to buy ice just to stay open. do not recommend
